another great piece about something we do so often with the art we consume! i love how creativity is born from creativity and this is exactly that. it doesn’t end when we turn off our screens.

Thank you, Li! That last line of yours – that it doesn't end when the screen goes off – is exactly what Art of Conversation is all about: encouraging us to let the art bleed out from the screen or off the page and into the rest of our lives.

Great read! Hope you're feeling much better now 🤞 I have a horror film podcast with a friend who does a good job of holding me accountable when I gush about an old favourite that he thinks is just okay. Sometimes we differ, mostly we agree. But it's useful to remove the rose-tinted glasses every now and then and realise that nostalgia colours my perception of a movie

I'm so glad you enjoyed the piece. And thank you, I've been fine for a while now. (The dirty secret of these things is that the present in the essay is almost always the relatively distant past; I write each of them a month or two in advance of being published.) What's the name of the podcast? I'm cutting back on podcasts at the moment to listen to more music, but I'd like to check it out.
